10 yrs old * low vision * likes kickball, Chinese, and Arts *wants to play basketball * he wants a family

Will understands about international adoption. He wants to have a real family and is looking forward to being adopted. He has low vision in both eyes (aniridia). What a wonderful little boy! Will you help me find a family for him?

What is his specific diagnosis? Does he have aniridia? Does he have any additional diagnosis?
His diagnosis are Strabismus, Amblyopia, and iridocoloboma (aniridia)
Can you describe his personality?
He is fairly shy, introverted, but he’s lively when he plays with his friends.
What are his favorite things to do outdoors? What are his favorite things to do indoors?
He likes kick ball outside. Inside he likes to help foster parents with some chore.
How does he get along with the caregivers? Does he have a favorite? How does he get along with his peers?
Does he have some favorites?
He’s attached to his foster family. He gets along well with the family members. He also gets along with his peers.
Does he go to school? Where does he go? What grade is he in?
He is now in the second grade in No. 8 elementary school of  ***** City. He’s doing well.
What are his best subjects in school? How is he doing compared to his peers? What are his favorite things to do at school?
He loves Chinese and arts. Compared to his peers, he can adjust to the big family, and enjoyed school. He loves to help teachers (wipe the blackboard, etc) and read.
How many children does he share a room with? What does his daily life look like? Is he in foster care?
He’s now in foster care, share a room with foster big brother and big sister. From Monday to Friday, 7:30am-11:30am, 2:00pm-5:00pm, he’s in school. On weekends, he does homework or go out and play.
What are his dreams? What does he want to do when he grows up?
He wants to play basketball, become a basketball player.
Does he know what it means to be adopted by a foreign family? How does he feel about being adopted?
He understands about international adoption. He want to have a real family and is looking forward to be adopted.
Is there something special or something else you would like to tell a potential adoptive family about him?
As he is getting older, he’s seen some children from the orphanage been adopted. He wish he will be adopted soon as well. He’s been looking forward to that day.

In the video the lady asked him his name and age. He responded that he’s 10 (many places count new born baby as 1 year old since they were in mommy’s belly for ten months. ) He says he is in the second grade. She then asks if he will say a poem. He agrees and tries to say a poem.

When baby “Will” was found he had a note stating his birthdate.
Current development at 19 months old:  13kg , 78 cm ht, 47cm head, 50cm chest, 15teeth.

Daily Life He has a routine life and the caretakers take good care of him.
Sleeping He sleeps about 12 hours a day. He gets up at 6:00, naps at 11:30-12, and goest to bed at 7:30pm. He sleeps well. He sometimes sucks a pacifier to fall asleep.
Meals He is mainly fed formula and meals – eggs, steamed bun, rice, noodle and sausage, fruit, water. No allergies.
Motor development His motor development is on target. He has poor vision in eyes but has light sense. He can crawl and sit on his own well. He can walk on his own while holding onto rails. He can stand on his own well while leaning against things.
Fine Motor Skills He can pick up small pills with right thumb and index finger deftly. He can hold the pen and mimc drawing lines. He holds and knocks blocks at each other.
Sociability, language ability and personality He has special feeling for the caretakers. He is not shy with the new people. He smiles aloud when you play with him. He knows many ‘actions’. For instance, he can do ‘welcome’ by clapping his hands. After he wakes up in the morning, he does some exercise first on the bed. He likes all toys, esp. balls.
