How does he interact with children his age? How does he interact with adults?
He can make some simple interaction with others.
Does he have friends? If so, who are they and what do they like to do together?
He has a best friend. They eat, sleep, go potty and watch TV together.
My note: His best friend was adopted a few weeks ago
Can he express himself well? Do adults understand his language, what about speech?
He can only say Mama. When he needs something, he would pull adult’s clothes and say “mama”, and point to the place he wants to go.

No.
Does he go to school? How often does he go? What grade is he in?
He’s attending special education class in the orphanage from Monday to Friday.
What is he learning right now? How does he compare to his peers academically?
He’s learning same as preschool. Compared to his peers, he’s slow in reaction.
What is his personality like? What do you like most about him?
He is lively, outgoing and has a ready smile. He would laugh so much if there is anything makes him happy.
Is he delayed developmentally? If so, what therapies would you suggest that he will need?
He’s delayed developmentally.
In what areas is he behind his peers? Thank you so much! This sweet boy needs to come home. I attached a photo of him.
His language and motor skill and others are all behind his peers.

Height: 96cm; Weight: 16cm.

7 yr old Victor is in the Love Without Boundaries “Believe in Me orphanage school” in Changzhi!
“Victor thoroughly enjoyed playing with mirrors when our Teacher Training team visited his school this summer. Sadly, Victor continues to wait to be matched with a forever family. He has just turned 6 years old.”
You can e-mail Love Without Boundaries to learn more about him.

“Victor, who is now three-and-a-half years old, has a a nose malformation as well as some social, speech, and learning delays. The Believe in Me teachers have implemented a special teaching plan for Victor that includes a lot of love and care. In the past, Victor has not been comfortable being touched.  As part of the plan, the teachers began approaching him slowly by giving him baby touches and light massage that they learned during LWB’s Teacher Training Trip this past summer. They were excited that this massage seemed to calm his sometimes antisocial behavior.  He began to feel more comfortable in class and has even started to say some simple words such as, “Papa,” “Mama,” and “Goodbye”! He feels great affection for his teacher Mrs. Tan who does the massage with him. What great progress for this introverted boy!” – LWB

“Victor is beginning to be more social in class and is finally participating in the team activities rather than just observing.  Although Victor doesn’t have any special friends yet, his teachers feel that soon he will learn how to make friends. In fact, just today we smiled to see this photo of Victor holding hands and making friends with one of the new students in class!” – LWB

“Victor’s teachers are very encouraged that he tries to wash the dishes by himself, comes to class on time and lines up properly when doing physical exercise.” – LWB
