Rory lived at Bethel (a foster home for vision impaired children) from July 2014 to June 2015.

“When he was transferred to Bethel the orphanage only informed us that he is blind but he has additional medical needs. Upon coming to Bethel we discovered he also had CP – Cerebral Palsy (half of body was always tight) and seizures.”

Note: Medical reports containing all medication and medical needs are available for an interested family to view.

“His CP improved with therapy but we were never able to control the seizures with medication. Because of his medical needs we hoped to find him a medical foster home but the orphanage asked us to send him back.”

“He was only with us for under a year when he was pretty young but I hope the additional pictures and video can help us find the right family.  He was so sweet and loved to be picked up or being on your lap. He had seizures several times a day and it was heartbreaking to  watch as we were not able to find any medication that would help stop it. They diminished over time with some medication but we weren’t able to completely stop them. We asked for help in medical foster homes but the orphanage didn’t consent.”

“He is still so young, I have so much hope that with the right medical intervention and therapy he has so much room for improvement.”
