Mathew has a HUGE personality and it’s impossible to visit Bethel without him leaving a big impression on your heart.
As soon as he sees someone he likes walk through the door, he will immediately run up to them and start to lead them towards his favorite toy to play.
Mathew was born in July of 2015 and has low vision and a growth delay. While Mathew is nonverbal, he is very easily able to express himself through pointing and gesturing. He makes sure there is no room for doubt about what he wants! He has also been babbling a bit, but has not expressed words yet. Mathew uses his little vision and light perception to navigate independently in familiar and unfamiliar environments.
Mathew loves to play and is very active. Some of his favorite activities are jumping on the trampoline, running, playing with light, dragging an adult over to the top shelves and bringing all the toys down so that they are in his reach, being snuggled and going down the slide at the playground.
This boy has brought so much joy to our hearts through his beautiful smile and laughter. Could he be a part of your family?
