“Jonah is currently in Orientation and Mobility training and is doing very well.” – Bethel (March 2018)

HISTORY – Previously to coming to Bethel’s care he was in the care of “Little Flowers”. He has been at Bethel since 3 years old.

MEDICAL/DEVELOPMENT – Jonah had retinoblastoma as a baby and had to have both eyes removed (now wears prosthetics) but he has remained cancer free for over two years now. Jonah is a bit uncertain of new environments and prefers being in his classroom where he is familiar with where things are. For now he uses an assisted mobility device (AMD) instead of a cane as it gives him a bit more confidence. He can now find the playground all by himself but needs someone with him for the rides. He has language delays but will call “mama” to ask for help. He can put on his socks and shoes by himself but still needs help with some other self-help skills.

PERSONALITY – He loves music and his favorite toy is a rabbit that plays children’s songs.

Please let me know if you would like to talk to a parent with experience with retinoblastoma. I will happily connect you.

If you would like to know more about how to adopt Jonah, please send me an e-mail!  – Jessica

TwentyLess is not an agency, it is an advocacy site run by an adoptive mom (me) who would love to see every child with a family of their very own.
