Jillian

Posted on Oct 19, 2018 by in 20 Aging Out |

12 years old * congenital heart disease (corrected) * learning is delayed * very loving and helpful * likes singing sons, taking walks, hand-crafts *

Medical need: born with congenital heart disease. Her file notes that her heart condition has been corrected, but not what type of heart condition she was born with.

Cognitive and Physical Development: At 4 years of age, Jillian was given an IQ test that deemed her as having a mental delay as well. A CT scan came back normal. In July of 2011, she was sent to live with a foster family. She made great gains with the foster family, becoming more open, speaking more, and gaining independence. She became toilet trained and learned how to feed and dress herself independently.

Education: She started pre-school in the orphanage.  She could obey the class rules, listen to the teachers, and unite her classmates, but her learning was definitely delayed. Jillian can do hand-crafts and sing songs.

Personality: She cares about the kids in her class and is very loving and helpful, often helping the younger kids put their shoes on. She likes puzzles, blocks, taking walks outside, playing games with her foster family, and shopping with her foster mother.

Environment: At the time her file was prepared, she was living with her foster parents and one foster sister. She is said to be a good sleeper.

Update needed! We’re hoping to get an update on Jillian because her file is quite outdated!

Grant Available
-There is a $1,000 agency grant for Jillian’s adoption with Madison Adoption Associates.
Other grants may be available based on the adoptive family’s circumstances. Agency grants are awarded as agency fee reductions. MAA also partners with the Brittany’s Hope Foundation for matching grants, which are given out twice a year January and July) and to families that are officially matched with a child.

Jillian needs a family with an approved home study to be able to move forward with adopting her. If you have an approved home study or a home study in process and are interested in adopting Jillian, please fill out a free PAP Waiting Child Review Form, which can be found here: https://madison.mysamdb.com/…/FamilyInformationSheet_Edt.as…

If you would like to know more about how to adopt Jillian, please send me an e-mail! – Jessica

TwentyLess is not an agency, it is an advocacy site run by an adoptive mom (me) who would love to see every child with a family of their very own.
