Love Without Boundaries says this about Elaine:

“Since entering  Believe in Me school in Liupanshui in 2012, Elaine has made great progress. At the beginning what was most noticeable was her desire to help and understand her new surroundings.  Everything was new and different to her, so it took her some time to warm up. She obviously paid close attention, and her teachers saw that she was making strides to interact more with others, learn how to verbalize herself, and play with the other children.

Communication is an area where Elaine is known to struggle. Everyone who knows her is pleased to see her improvement in making eye contact, as well as her increased ability to vocalize herself and even introduce herself to others.

Elaine has learned some basic counting and writing.  In addition, she is attempting to learn basic math and really seems to enjoy playing games with other children.

We hope to see even more strides in her abilities as she is paperwork-ready for adoption now, and we look forward to hearing news that she has been matched with a family.

Already Elaine is 12 years old, so her chance at adoption is limited.  While we know Elaine has many challenges ahead, we are truly hopeful that a family can provide her more quality one-on-one time and special resources that will help her to make the gains that she needs in order to reach her potential.

There is so much of Elaine that she wasn’t able to show us right away, and we cannot wait to see what else this lovely girl has in store!”
