“Chandler is speaking a bit! He’s been studying our lips as we talk by watching them intensely and feeling our lips as we talk (it’s honestly the cutest thing!) He was just imitating the lip movement for a while, but just started saying mama!” – Bethel

“Chandler was born in May 2011. He is our newest arrival in our Zhengzhou project. He arrived in our care in June 2015. We can’t wait to see him grow under our care. Hoping he will feel at home soon.” – Bethel

“Chandler has low vision and we are still learning more about his eye condition to see what modifications or healthcare he might need.”

“When he first arrived he hardly said any words and still ate from a bottle. Fast forward to today and he’s a happy, independent little guy!”

“Chandler has abnormal optic development, but he seems to have quite good vision. He can distinguish faces and can see enough to pick up small items from the ground. He has good motor skills and can walk on his own.”

“Chandler likes to play, especially with the cars. Because he loves them so much, his caregivers are now using them to help him learn new concepts. He likes to play with toys that make music and light up. When he’s not feeling well, he likes to lay down on a bean bag or in a teachers lap and listen to songs on the radio.”

“Sometimes, he can be a little bit mischievous! One day when his teachers weren’t looking he found a pen and drew all over the wall! He also moves very fast and sometimes tries to sneak extra snacks, so his teachers have to be on the lookout.”

“Chandler also loves to jump on the trampoline. Even if he falls, he thinks it’s hilarious. He is paper ready for adoption and we would love to see him in a forever family!
