She has a beautiful smile! She is a sweet and loving girl who enjoys playing outside on the playground, and building with blocks. She is doing well in school, and can speak Mandarin as well as Cantonese.
When she was a toddler, the orphanage staff thought she might have something wrong with her knees…she had some difficulty walking unassisted. An arachnoid cyst was found and a shunt inserted when she was 4 years old. This did help her with her walking. Abby was also diagnosed with PVL, a type of brain injury that affects infants, especially those born prematurely. Most symptoms are readily noticeable by the time they are toddlers, so she seems to be doing well there.
