“Yancy recently started one-on-one classes a few afternoons a week with a teacher from England. He is a very bright boy but does not really communicate using words. He has good understanding and willingness to engage and solve problems just doesn’t use words. I once taught him a few signs and he got the idea of using his hands and was able to copy easily, he’s just not in a setting that would allow for sign language much. He lives in the main SWI connected to where ICC has a separate centre. So not in ICC’s care unfortunately. He loves to draw and play games, and has the sweetest and cutest smile! He has so much potential we really hope he can be adopted! He is 12 years old.”
